Kinds of Vegetarians; Pollo-Pescatarian

There are several kinds of vegetarians.

1. Pollo-vegetarians
Someone who eats poultry, such as chicken, turkey, duck and goose, but doesn’t eat red meat or pork.  This is one of the kinds of vegetarians that I am.

2. Pescatarian/ pescetarian
A person who doesn’t eat any meat except fish.   I also am a pescatarian

3. Flexitarian/Semi-vegetarian
Someone who eats a mostly vegetarian diet, but sometimes eats meat.

4. Vegetarian (Lacto-ovo- vegetarian)
People who don’t eat any animals of any kind, but do eat eggs and dairy products.

5. Vegan
Someone who doesn’t eat any meat, eggs, dairy products, or processed foods with these same ingredients.

6. Raw vegan/Raw food diet

I didn’t know there were so many kinds of vegetarians.  I have decided I am going to adopt a pollo-pecatarian diet meaning I will only eat poultry and fish as far as meat is concerned.  Hopefully I can stick with it.  I’ve done it in the past and felt great while doing it!  I actually lost quite a bit of weight, so I am thinking it would be great to start again.  I went grocery shopping today and picked up some Boca cheeseburgers.  I haven’t tried this variety yet, but am super excited!  I looked at some other products.  It can get pretty pricey when you look into getting organic food, or protein replacements.  It’s all worth it in the end for a healthier lifestyle.  I will keep you all posted on how the new diet is going.  The thing is, I don’t eat a lot of meat anyway, so it shouldn’t be a huge change.

Some would argue that there aren’t any other kinds of vegetarians, and I hope I don’t offend anyone.

I think it’s just funny since I just wrote this post on why Bacon is the greatest thing ever, and now I am vowing to turn it away! I WILL though. I can do it! I know it’s a healthier way of life. You know me and my diets though

I tried to do a vegetarian diet before. My thing is, I only eat beef. I do not eat turkey, pork, chicken or fish. I know it is healthier not to eat beef but I can’t do it. I tried, oh how I tried. I know I could probably lose a lot of weight and not have health problems in the future. But for now, its too expensive to eat really healthy unfourtantly :( If we had the money we would.
